V International Festival "Vladimir Spivakov invites..." (25 September 2009 - 07 October 2009)
"Vladimir Spivakov Invites" festival being an outstanding culture event takes place once in two years in Moscow. The jubilee fifth festival features world-wide famous and acknowledged musicians such as pianist Denis Matsuev, soprano Albina Shagimuratova, baritone Nikolay Borchev, violinists Feng Ning and Yuki Manuela Janke. The star parade is headlined by Ruggero Raimondi.
The festival sound is reduced to a common denominator of two orchestras - National Philharmonic orchestra of Russia and "Virtuosos of Moscow". All the concerts are hosted by maestro Spivakov who will also perform solo. The festival is opened with Gershwin-Gala featuring popular orchestra suites, "Rhapsody in Blue" as well as piano concert.
