On January 29th at the Main Stage of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre will be premiered Jules Massenet's Manon, based on the novel L’histoire du chevalier des Grieux et de Manon Lescaut by the Abbé Prévost. The new production of Manon will be created by the Music Theatre's principal conductor Felix Korobov and a creative team from Latvia headed by Andrejs Žagars (who has already successfully staged Tannhäuser by R. Wagner at the Main Stage of the Music Theatre) together with Reinis Suhanovs, one of most recognized Latvian scenographers of the young generation and Kristīne Pasternaka, who is the Head Costume Designer of the Latvian National Opera.
