Andrei Diev (Piano soloist)
Andrey DIEV was born in 1958 in the family with old musician traditions. His father is conductor and composer; his mother is pianist, pupil of E.Grossman and G.Neygauz.
A.Diev studied at Central Special Musical School, Moscow state conservatoire (with post-graduate course) under the guiding of professor Lev Naumov.
He is laureate of All-Union and International competitions, Honoured artist of the Russia. In 1990 he was enclosed in performers‘ catalogue of Steinway as the on of world-leading pianists.
A.Diev tours with best Russian and foreign orchestras. He performs with famous musicians, such as violinist Andrey Korsakov, cellist Alexander Knyazev, pianists Vladimir Ovchinnikov and Lubov Timofeeva, conductor Vladimir Ziva.
Since 1988 he has been taught at Moscow State Conservatoire named after P.I.Tchaykovsky. He also leads master-classes at many cities.
Pianist‘s repertoire includes music of the 3 centuries: from old Spanish composer A.Soler to contemporary composers.
