In season 2005/06, Denis Matvienko, Х Moscow International Competition winner, has become a resident guest star of the Bolshoi Theatre.Was born on February 23, 1979 in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine.
In 1989 – 1997 studied in the Kiev state choreographic school.
June 1997 – March 2001 - worked at the Kiev state theatre of opera and ballet as the leading ballet-dancer.
March 2001 – March 2002 - worked in Maryinsky theatre of opera and ballet (St.-Petersburg) as the leading ballet-dancer.
Since January 2003 - principal dancer of Kiev state theatre of opera and ballet.
Since 2002 working as guest principal dancer in New National Theatre, Tokyo, Japan.
Since October 2005 working as guest principal dancer in Boshoi Theatre, Moscow, Russia.
