The outstanding opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky died on 22 November of last year.
His death was an irreparable loss for Russian culture. His talent was well known and appreciated in the whole world. He was applauded at the Bolshoi Theatre, La Scala, Metropolitan Opera in New-York, the Royal Opera House in London and in many other upscale theatres in Russia and abroad. He was loved not only for his classical repertoire but also for his amazingly precise renderings of romances and Russian folk songs.
On the birthday of the outstanding singer, his memory will be honoured by his colleagues, the Novaya Opera choir and orchestra under the baton of Constantine Orbelian.
This concert will remind all lovers of Hvorostovsky's work that in spite of his death, his incredible talent, voice and image will always be with us.
