Synopsis
Often considered the epitome of the classical ballets, Swan Lake is a tale of love, betrayal, and triumph of the good over the evil. Filled with romance and beauty, this ballet enchants audiences for over a century.
The choreography requires high technical skills and a tremendous execution on the representation of characters in this story, particularly the clash of characters in figurative purity of the White Swan and intrigue, duplicitous, of the Black Swan, requiring virtuosity and dramatic talent by the Principal dancer especially in the two Grand Pas de Deux, ballets in Scene II and Scene III. Another moment of climax is the delightful Dance of the Little Swans.
The prestige and notoriety achieved by timeless Swan Lake are motivated by the inspiring music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky, but also inventive and expressive choreography by Marius Petipa that, linking the human body with the movements of a swan, reveals the genius of its potential and choreographic artistic creativity. Pyotr Tchaikovsky composed this work of the transcendent, the Suite Op.20 perpetuates the name of the composer. The success of his compositions resulted from the ability to express their feelings through musical idiom, creating intense and emotive melodies.
Swan Lake tells the story of Odette, a young woman cursed by the sorcerer Von Rothbart, condemned her to the figure of a swan during the day and human overnight. Only a declaration of true love can break her free of the curse.
A true poetic romantic theme, where good triumphs evil. This classic production features lavish scenery, gorgeous costumes and a corps de ballet outstanding, led by two of the International Dance Stars.
