Beethoven Concert Hall of the Bolshoi Ballet and Opera theatre
On February 18, 1921 the Beethoven Hall was opened at the Bolshoi Theatre. The hall was named after one of the world's greatest composers and pianists - Ludwig van Beethoven. Even though the concert hall was built in the 20th century, and during the communist revolution, it was built in a classical, imperial style. The walls and ceilings are covered by Italian plaster casts and silk wallpaper. Crystal chandeliers adorn the ceiling. But no matter how beautiful the hall is, its main attraction is the unique acoustics. Most of the chamber concerts at the Bolshoi Theater take place in the Beethoven Hall. The hall can seat up to 320 people.
