Vyacheslav Lopatin (Dancer)

Biography

Vyacheslav Lopatin was born in Voronezh. He graduated from the Voronezh state college of choreography. After graduation he took a study course at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy of choreography. Having finished the course he joined the Bolshoi Ballet in 2003. At the present time his master-repetiteur is Boris Akimov.

In 2011, he participated in the joint project of the Bolshoi Theater and the Californian Segerstrom Center for the Arts (Remansos to music by E. Granados, choreography by N. Duato); Pas de Trois to music by M. Glinka, choreography by G. Balanchine) 

Tours

2014 — performed the part of Basilio (Anastasia Stachkevich as Kitri) with the Tokio Ballet (Don Quixote in V. Vasiliev’s version).
2017 – performed the part of Modest Alexeyevich in Anyuta with the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre Company in the framework of the Nureyev Ballet Festival (Kazan).

Awards

In 2004, he won the 2nd prize at the Arabesque Open Competition for Russian Ballet Dancers, in Perm, he also received the prize from OJSC “Permturist” for the best performance of a piece choreographed by G. Balanchine and the Press Jury prize established by the Theater Union of the Russian Federation.
In 2009, he was the recipient of Russia’s National Theater Award — the Golden Mask (Special Jury Prize), for the best duet (in La Sylphide with Natalia Osipova) (season 2007/2008).
In 2011, he was awarded the Nina Ananiashvili the star Prize (Tbilisi)
In 2013, he was awarded the title of Merited Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.
