Born in 1956 in Kutaisi (Georgia). Graduated from the Tbilisi State Conservatoire in 1982 (teachers – V. Paliashvili and M. Topuria). Completed the postgraduate course of the Tbilisi Conservatoire in 1990 (teacher – O. Dimitriadi). In 1990-91 worked at the Kutaisi Opera (conducted the performances of «Cavalleria Rusticana» by P. Mascagni, «Gianni Skikki» by G. Puccini, «Il Trovatore» and «La Traviata» by G. Verdi, «Iolanta» by P. I. Tchaikovsky, «Avessalom and Eteri» and «Daisi» by Z. Paliashvili, «Queer Persons» by O. Taktakishvili, «Keto and Kote» by V. Dolidze, «Leyla» by R. Lagidze).
Since 1992 - conductor of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Аcademic Music Theatre.
Led the productions of “Carmen-suite” by R. Schedrin, “A circus has arrived!” to the music by V. Besedina and C. Saint-Saens, took part in the other productions, conducted ballet and opera performances (including “I Pagliacci” by R. Leoncavallo, “Aleko” by S. Rakhmaninov, “Mozart and Saglieri” by N. Rimsky-Korsakov). At present mostly conducts the ballet performances: «Swan Lake» by Tchaikovsky, «Snow Maiden» to the music by Tchaikovsky, «Illusive Ball» and «Chopiniana» to the music by F. Chopin, «Esmeralda» by C. Pugni, R. Glier and S. Vasilenko, «Othello» by A. Machavariani, «Taming of the Shrew» by M. Bronner, «Shulammite» by V. Besedina, «Hump-backed Horse» by R. Schedrin.
Participated in the international tours of the Theater (Spain, Austria, France, U.S.A., China).
